A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to urge the Hoops hierarchy to offer Tom Rogic whatever he wants to bring an end to the uncertainty regarding his Parkhead future after his stunning performance in the latest Old Firm clash.
The Hoops wrapped up the Scottish Premiership title in incredible style at Parkhead on Sunday, dispatching Rangers 5-0 in a game that saw the Australian playmaker continue his stunning record against the Gers.
The 25-year-old has scored in each of the four Old Firm games that he has played this term, while Celtic’s only failure when it comes to beating the Gers came when Rogic was not involved.
His latest goal came with a fantastic finish just after the break on Sunday to quash any slim hope Rangers may have had of scoring the fourth goal and giving themselves the slightest reason for optimism following a shocking end to the first-half.
The performance was lauded by Celtic fans, while several supporters insisted that it was further proof that the club must do all they can to convince the attacker to commit his future to the Hoops.
The Telegraph reports that he is out of contract at the end of next season and has, so far, rejected a new deal from the Bhoys ahead of the World Cup – and his lack of urgency perhaps provides the slightest hint that he remains determined to keep his options open.
But several Celtic supporters are adamant that keeping Rogic and getting him to sign a new deal would have to be up there with one of the best pieces of business the club could do during the coming months.
