Celtic have been linked with Scott McKenna in the past, and the Hoops fans are now hoping that that interest is reignited.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that the Hoops need to make a move for Scott McKenna this summer after his outstanding performance during Aberdeen’s Scottish Cup quarter-final win.
The Bhoys will face the Dons in the semi-final of the competition after Derek McInnes’ men produced a superb performance against Rangers at Ibrox. Goals from Niall McGinn and Connor McLennan left Steven Gerrard’s side stunned.
While his teammates may have got the goals in the 2-0 win, McKenna’s performance attracted a lot of attention, with plenty of Celtic supporters lauding the centre-back.
The Sun reported on its live blog on transfer deadline day in January (31/1; 17:05) that Celtic were one of the sides interested in signing the £7 million-rated defender.

McKenna produced a brilliant display at Ibrox. He ensured that Alfredo Morelos barely got a sniff of goal throughout the game, and his leadership and command was a key reason why Rangers rarely looked like getting back into the game.
And with Filip Benkovic only on loan and Dedryck Boyata’s contract set to expire in the summer (via Daily Record), there are now a number of the Parkhead faithful who believe that McKenna should be on the champions’ shopping list when the summer window opens.
