Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to reveal they’d like to see Neil Lennon start Diego Laxalt ahead of Greg Taylor against Rangers on Saturday.
The Uruguay international only arrived at Celtic Park on October 5th, and is yet to get the chance to play with his new teammates as a result of the international break.
In that respect, it would be a hugely bold move from Lennon to throw the former Inter Milan defender straight into what is arguably one of football’s feistiest games.
It would also perhaps be unfair on Taylor, who has already scored a goal and assisted four more in 12 appearances this season, whereas Laxalt hasn’t actually made an appearance for anyone.
Before moving to Scotland, Transfermarkt shows the 27-year-old didn’t play a single game for AC Milan in either the Europa League qualifying phases, nor in Serie A.

In our view, if Lennon did play Laxalt, it would be a jaw-dropping decision given he’s only been at the club for ten days.
However, it is a move which the Celtic fans on Twitter want to see happen.

If the Bhoys can grab all three points, they will move two points above Steven Gerrard’s men and also have a game in hand.
Let’s take a look at what they’ve been saying about the situation…
