The Hoops unveiled a grey and pink third kit ahead of the Parkhead side’s 2019-20 season.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to express their dismay at the Hoops’ unveiling of their third kit for the 2019-20 season (official Celtic website).
Made by New Balance, the latest Bhoys kit is made up of a grey jersey, which features a bright pink (officially described as “berry”) chevron, grey shorts and grey and “berry” socks.
According to the official Celtic website, the new third kit is inspired by a similar design which adorned the Bhoys’ kit exactly a century ago, in the 1919-20 season.
Neither the home and away strips have been particularly well received this summer, with the home one coming under some criticism for not having actual “hoops” that go all around the shirt.
However, when it came to the third kit’s unveiling, which was done at the Celtic FC Festival – with Scott Brown, Odsonne Edouard, James Forrest and Ryan Christie on hand to model the kit in front of an audience of fans – and online, the reaction on the latter was particularly strong.
Here is what some of the Parkhead faithful said about the unveiling:
Celtic take on Nomme Kalju in the second leg of their Europa League qualifying second round tie next Thursday before beginning their mission for their ninth Scottish Premiership title in a row at home against St Johnstone on 3 August.
