The Hoops captain, who has won 20 trophies so far during his career, divides opinion in the football world.
Celtic captain Scott Brown has been deemed one of the seven most “evil” footballers in the world by a Brazilian online outlet.
The 33-year-old midfielder is loved by the green half of Glasgow for his combative, fierce, never-say-die attitude, particularly when up against the Hoops’ Old Firm rivals.
However, it cannot be denied that Brown has a tendency to split opinion within the football world, and Boa Informacao believes the Scot is one of those players who “use the art of darkness in search of victory”.
Quite poetically, the website believes that “sometimes the lines between right and wrong can be confused in the pursuit of victory… these lines are often blurred by those not so pure souls who can claim an incomparable mastery of the arts of darkness.”
Brown’s list-mates are Brazil defender Pepe, his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos, Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini, Manchester United’s Ander Herrera, Barcelona’s Luis Suarez and Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa.
Quite a roll call of players, and one could argue it’s an honour to be listed amongst such (in)famous players, who by no coincidence – and like Brown – have quite a sizeable medal collection between them.

With a medal collection consisting of nine Scottish Premiership titles, five Scottish Cups and six Scottish League Cups (Transfermarkt), it’s unlikely that either Brown or the Celtic fanbase will be too upset about the label.
