Celtic unveiled their New Balance home kit for 2019-20 this week but some Hoops faithful aren’t keen.

Celtic have unveiled their home kit for the 2019-20 season and it’s fair to say that a lot of criticism has come its way from sections of the Parkhead faithful.

The New Balance kit has an all-green collar above the famous green hoops, a tribute to first ever Celtic kit, which was white with a green collar.

However, there is one particular espect of the shirt which some fans have taken issue with – the green stripes don’t ‘hoop’ around the sleeves, which are plain white with a black flash on the cuffs.

Here is just some of the Twitter reaction from Celtic fans regarding the kits:

Celtic unveiled the kit ahead with an exclusive launch night in Glasgow, parading the design at the Argyle Street Arches, with a number of Hoops fans having access to the event and being given the chance to meet the players.

Bhoys captain Scott Brown was among the players in attendance, alongside the likes of Callum McGregor, Kieran Tierney, Scott Sinclair, Nir Bitton, James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Celtic Women ace Kelly Clark (Daily Record).

Up next for Celtic is Saturday’s Scottish Premiership 12:30pm kickoff away at Aberdeen in which they will hope to seal the title.
