Celtic crashed out of the Europa League as they were beaten 3-0 in the second-leg by Zenit St Petersburg.

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Moussa Dembele’s performance in the second-leg of their Europa League last 32 tie with Zenit St Petersburg, and to say that the fans were disappointed with the striker would be a major understatement.
The Hoops went into the game in Russia 1-0 ahead on aggregate after a brilliant performance at Parkhead culminated in Callum McGregor scoring late on to give Brendan Rodgers’ side the narrow advantage.

However, Zenit needed just seven minutes to level the tie through Branislav Ivanovic. The former Chelsea ace had no problem losing Jozo Simunovic at a corner and headed home from around eight yards.
And the home side would soon be ahead in the tie as a long-range effort was made to look like a Roberto Carlos free-kick by Dorus De Vries. The effort went into the centre of the goal, but the veteran stopper seemed to get nowhere near the ball, which misbehaved ever so slightly in the air.

And the agony was complete during the second-half as Mikael Lustig lost Aleksandr Kokorin at the back post and the striker tucked home from close range.
A number of players were slammed for their performances on social media once the final whistle blew. Dembele’s display certainly came in for a lot of criticism.
The striker has been underwhelming recently, but looked to be much closer to his best in the first-leg, frequently causing the Zenit defence a host of problems. However, he seemed virtually redundant this time around, and many of the fans felt that he seemed disinterested in trying to get Celtic back into the game.
Here is what the Celtic fans made of Dembele’s performance…
