The Celtic winger has split opinion amongst the Parkhead fanbase in recent times.

Celtic interim manager Neil Lennon announced earlier this week that the Scottish Premiership leaders have triggered the final-year clause in Scott Sinclair’s contract.
The 30-year-old moved to Celtic Park from Aston Villa for £3.5million in the summer of 2016 and has scored 17 goals in 51 appearances for the Hoops this season.
Sinclair was PFA Scotland player of the year in his first campaign but he has struggled to recapture that form in more recent times, with his contract set to run out this summer.
Indeed, the winger has found himself in and out of the team under both Brendan Rodgers and Lennon at Parkhead – he has started only half of Lennon’s 10 games in charge.
Nonetheless, the Northern Irishman said at his press conference ahead of the Aberdeen game: “Scotty will be here for another year. He has returned a lot of goals for us this season yet again and it’s a big boost for the squad.”
The announcement was a very split reaction amongst the Parkhead fanbase, with some fans taking to Twitter and voicing their opinions:
According to The Sun, English Championship club Middlesbrough remain keen to sign Sinclair and suggest he could yet make the switch to the Riverside Stadium in the off season.
Former Celtic striker Scott McDonald, meanwhile, has suggested that the Bhoys’ decision is to ensure they can pick up a reasonable fee for the player instead of allowing him to leave for nothing (BBC Sport).
