The Hoops forward has been linked with a move away from Celtic Park this summer but some Bhoys don’t want him to leave.
A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Scott Sinclair’s message following the 6-1 friendly win over SC Pinkafeld, in which he enjoyed a 45-minute run-out on the Austrian pitch.
The 30-year-old has endured a mixed spell at Parkhead since his switch from Aston Villa for £3million in the summer of 2016 (The Guardian), winning the PFA Scotland Player of the Year in his first season (BBC Sport).
Sinclair was also voted the Hoops’ Player of the Year by both teammates and fans that season, but since then he has struggled to recapture that form, though Celtic nonetheless triggered a one-year extension in his contract in May.
Despite his mixed spell, numerous Bhoys commented in support of Sinclair, with one hoping he does not leave Paradise amongst reported interest from Premier League new-boys Sheffield United (The Scottish Sun):
