Sheffield Wednesday forward Gary Hooper has expressed his delight on Twitter at Celtic’s win against Rangers in the Old Firm derby at the weekend.

Celtic got the better of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers 2-1 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

Alfredo Morelos was sent off for Rangers after 31 minutes, with Andy Halliday dismissed for the Gers after the final whistle.

The result means that Neil Lennon’s Celtic are now as many as 13 points clear of second-placed Rangers at the top of the league table, and are pretty much certain to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Wednesday forward Hooper was following the Old Firm derby, and the 31-year-old has expressed his delight on Twitter at the win for his former club Celtic with a simple post.

Celtic fans have responded to the former Norwich City forward’s post on Twitter, with some urging him to move back to the Hoops.

The Englishman was on the books of the Bhoys from 2010 until 2013, and won the Scottish league title and the Scottish Cup twice each during his time at Celtic Park.
