Celtic fans reckon Scott Allan won’t be back at Parkhead for long this summer.

Celtic fans on Twitter do not believe that Scott Allan has much of a future at Parkhead.

The on-loan Hibernian midfielder has impressed under Neil Lennon since joining the Leith club in January, having also done well at Dundee during the first half of the campaign.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers sanctioned both loans away from the Hoops after the 26-year-old midfielder struggled to break into his first-team plans last season, before joining Rotherham United on a temporary basis.

He is due back in Glasgow this summer when his loan expires, but some fans of the Parkhead club do not believe that there is any room for him in Rodgers’s side going forward.

Allan joined the Bhoys in the 2015-16 campaign during Ronny Deila’s tenure, but only one of his 12 Premiership appearances that season came from the start.

At 26, Allan would already be in Rodgers’s first-team squad if the Northern Irishman felt that he was made of the right stuff and it seems very unlikely that he has a long-term future with the Scottish Premiership leaders.
