Celtic have completed a deal to sign striker Vakoun Issa Bayo.

Bayo joins from Slovakian side Dunajska Streda and arrives after more than a week of negotiations.

Celtic were not the only side in for him, but they were the team who wanted him the most.

Bayo hails from the Ivory Coast and has already represented the country’s senior side at 21.

This season he has scored a prolific 18 goals in 23 games for his club.

He is the second striker signed by Celtic in a matter of days, following Timothy Weah’s loan switch from Paris Saint-Germain.

They both follow winger Oliver Burke, who joined on loan from West Bromwich Albion.

The move is a gamble by Celtic, and a low cost one.
