The Hoops academy goalkeeper was linked with clubs south of the border but he has committed his future to the Bhoys at Parkhead.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Hoops announcement which confirmed that highly rated young goalkeeper Vincent Angelini has signed his first professional contract at Parkhead.
As stated on the official Bhoys website, the teenage stopper has come through the Celtic Youth Academy’s partnership with St Ninian’s High School, Kirkintilloch, which he has been part of for the past four years.
Angelini, who is the grandson of Celtic legend and former Hoops manager Davie Hay, will be part of the Under-18s squad, and his professional contract at Parkhead is likely to end speculation regarding his future.
According to the Scottish Sun, Angelini had been attracting interest from clubs south of the border and in Italy thanks to his impressive displays for Celtic’s Under-16s, which included winning Goalkeeper of the Tournament at the Marc Overmars Tournament in Holland.

The tournament, which took place two years ago, saw Celtic beat Ajax in the Final, with highly rated Hoops attacker Karamoko Dembele having been voted Player of the Tournament.
Some Celtic fans took the time to welcome Angelini to the Hoops’ professional ranks, with several also light-heartedly claiming he looks a little like Cillian Murphy – aka Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders:
