Celtic picked up a comfortable win on Saturday afternoon as Cameron Carter-Vickers scored in a 3-0 victory over Ross County.

Celtic started life without Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard in style. They had seen Edouard score twice on his Crystal Palace debut, and wanted to show they weren’t missing him.

It took a while for Celtic to make the breakthrough. Eventually, new signing Carter-Vickers struck to put the Hoops in front.

Striker Albian Ajeti then bagged a brace, giving Ange Postecoglou a convincing victory.

It wasn’t always pretty, but Celtic got the job done – and what a start for new signing Carter-Vickers.

Carter-Vickers in dream Bhoys debut

Signed on loan from Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day last month, the centre back needs a home.

Once tipped for stardom at Tottenham, Carter-Vickers has stalled. Now at Celtic after loan spells with Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City, Luton Town and Bournemouth, Carter-Vickers will hope that he can land a full-time move to Celtic.

The powerful defender has certainly started well. Carter-Vickers had only scored two domestic goals in his career before Saturday, but has already opened his Celtic account.

Celtic fans react to Carter-Vickers display

Celtic supporters have been taking to Twitter to praise Carter-Vickers’ dbeut display.

Some felt that Carter-Vickers was ‘excellent’ and gave the Bhoys confidence at the back.

Others called Carter-Vickers ‘an absolute tank’, feeling that he is exactly what Celtic needed…
