Celtic’s Tom Rogic could miss another two months with a knee injury, Brendan Rodgers confirms.

Celtic have been rocked by the news that Tom Rogic could miss an additional two months.
The Australian midfielder hasn’t played since the Champions League defeat by Anderlecht on December 5 due to a knee injury.
He was expected to be nearing a comeback, but Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers told The Glasgow Evening Times on Wednesday that a further six to eight weeks is the new prognosis.

He said: “Tom could be six to eight weeks. Patrick is not [back] until February.
“But it’s ok. We have a good squad, a chance to bring young players up and see how they cope and develop. Then look to get one or two in.”
It adds to the Hoops’ already-depleted squad, with Patrick Roberts, Jonny Hayes, Stuart Armstrong and Marvin Compper among the walking wounded.
And here is how Celtic fans have reacted to Rogic’s latest setback.

With Rogic missing until the middle of March potentially, it puts his participation in Celtic’s last-32 Europa League tie with Zenit in doubt.
The Aussie is a massive player for Rodgers but, with Zenit visiting Parkhead on February 15 for the first leg, it seems unlikely that he’ll be available. The second leg is a week later.
