Oliver Burke may have stolen many of the headlines, but a number of Celtic fans are seriously excited about how good a signing Timothy Weah is going to prove to be after watching his performance in the 4-0 win against St Mirren.

The Hoops followed their 3-0 Scottish Cup win at the weekend with an emphatic victory at Parkhead on Wednesday night. Burke bagged a brace and Scott Sinclair scored from the spot to make the points safe inside 55 minutes.

Brendan Rodgers brought Weah off the bench shortly after the hour-mark, and he, once again, was able to have the final say in the victory, scoring the fourth goal to go with his strike in the cup tie on his debut.

Weah had two excellent chances before he did find the back of the net, hitting the post with one before being denied by a good save. But he did score after latching onto a pass from Ewan Henderson in the final moments of the game.

The 18-year-old looked incredibly lively. Some of his movement caused all sorts of problems as he looked to position himself between defenders and latch onto through balls.

Plenty of supporters have suggested that he is showing signs that he is going to be a fantastic signing for the club – unlike some previous loan acquisitions – with some adding that he is already outshining Jermain Defoe, who was also on the move this month.
