Celtic fans are already in love with Timothy Weah it seems.
It looks like some Celtic fans on Twitter are smitten with new signing Timothy Weah.
The 18-year-old announced himself to the Parkhead faithful in style by scoring the third goal in Celtic’s 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Airdrie on Saturday.
Weah, on a half-season loan from Paris Saint-Germain, ran on to a defence-splitting ball before toe poking past the onrushing goalkeeper.
The youngster, son of the iconic George Weah, turned away to celebrate before the ball had even crossed the line.
Weah ran over to the Hoops fans and passionately tugged at the Celtic badge on his shirt.
And some fans of the Scottish Premiership club are in love with him already.
Bigger tests lie ahead for the youngster, but there’s a certain swagger to the kid and few would doubt whether the USA international can deliver on bigger stages, against bigger sides.
Weah praised the atmosphere at Parkhead afterwards, which is good for him because Celtic’s next two games are at home – St Mirren on Wednesday and then Hamilton on Saturday.
