Celtic fans react as Stuart Armstrong scores for Southampton again.

It’s taken a while, but Stuart Armstrong is finally starting to look at home at Southampton following his summer exit from Celtic.

Until last week, the 26-year-old midfielder hadn’t scored or set up a goal since his £7 million move from Celtic.

But the Scotland international bagged a brace in last week’s 3-2 defeat away to Fulham, before scoring again in this evening’s visit of Manchester United.

Armstrong was one of Brendan Rodgers’s best players at Celtic, hence the price-tag, and here is how fans of the Parkhead club reacted to his latest goal:

It’s still only three goals in nine Premier League appearances, but there was always going to be a bedding-in period for the former Hoops star.

But hopefully for his and Southampton’s sake he can maintain a standard of scoring fairly regularly over the coming weeks and months.

It’s also great to see Celtic fans wishing him well.

He wasn’t quite one of their own, because Armstrong only joined the Bhoys from Dundee in 2015, but it’s certainly a classy move on their behalf.
