Some Celtic supporters want Brendan Rodgers to sign the big defender.

Some Celtic fans on Twitter are calling on Brendan Rodgers to snap up Steven Caulker.
The former England international is available on a free transfer after triggering a release clause to leave Dundee on Friday night.
The transfer window is closed but Celtic – who have previously been linked with the big centre-back – would be eligible to join the Hoops, if Rodgers came knocking.
Rodgers, who worked with the 26-year-old at Swansea City, was linked with bringing him to Parkhead last summer, telling the Scottish Sun that he’s an ‘awesome’ player.

To be fair, it isn’t a bad shout. Celtic might’ve signed Filip Benkovic, but this is a defence that won’t be completely steadied by the addition of a Croatia Under-21 international.
Rodgers still has liabilities in the form of Jack Hendry and Marvin Compper to name but a few, so signing someone of Caulker’s vintage wouldn’t be a bad idea.
The Scottish champions host Rangers at Celtic Park this afternoon, and a negative result might just convince Rodgers that he needs reinforcements in defence.
