The one-time Celtic midfielder pulled off a moment of sheer genius against Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers today.

Former Celtic midfielder Scott Allan enhanced his reputation at Ibrox this afternoon, despite losing 6-1 to Rangers.
The Gers put Hibernian to the sword with a ruthless display, with Jermain Defoe scoring three and Alfredo Morelos picking up a brace for himself.
There was so much talent on display from Rangers, but the moment of the game arguably belongs to the player who Celtic lost this summer.
Allan, who spent four years on the Hoops’ books, channeled Andres Iniesta with an astounding defence-splitting pass which Daryl Horgan latched on to en route to making it 2-1 shortly before the break.
The 27-year-old was never anything more than a bit-part player at Parkhead, but this afternoon’s assist was a big reminder of his ability and here’s how Celtic fans reacted to it:
Celtic boss Neil Lennon is a big fan of Allan, evident by the fact that he was the one who brought him back to Easter Road.
Allan officially left the Bhoys this summer, but the deal was signed in January, when Lennon was still in charge of the Leith club.
That being said, he wouldn’t be getting a game for Celtic now had he stayed. The Northern Irishman, like Brendan Rodgers before him, simply has too many quality midfielders at his disposal.
It was Rangers’ second Premiership win on the trot and they have netted eight goals in both league games so far, four less than Lennon’s side.
