Celtic are in the market for a new left-wing back – and appear to have found a very ambitious target ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
The Bhoys have offloaded Boli Bolingoli to Basaksehir, meaning Neil Lennon needs competition for Greg Taylor.
Given that Lennon currently seems to be favouring a back three with wing backs, he is looking for a player who can get forward and attack well.
The Scottish Daily Mail (30/09, back page) report that Celtic are pushing for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Sessegnon, and believe they can convince him into making the move.
A host of Premier League clubs are also keen, and Sky Sports claim that the money involved in a loan move for Sessegnon could be a problem for Celtic.
The 20-year-old is expected to leave Spurs on loan after the signing of Sergio Reguilon, and he would be a perfect fit for Celtic in the left wing-back spot.

Having cost £25million to sign from Fulham just over a year ago, the news of Sessegnon’s possible move to Parkhead has sparked reactions from Celtic fans.
Fans are hugely excited, believing that Sessegnon and Jeremie Frimpong lining up as wing-backs would be ‘scenes’ and ‘frightening’.
Others believe that Sessegnon would be a ‘game changer’ for Celtic, urging the club to get a deal done as he would be a ‘massive’ capture.
