Celtic fans were not impressed by Ryan Christie’s performance for their Scottish Premiership rivals.

Celtic fans took to Twitter to comment on Ryan Christie’s performance during Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership clash with Rangers, and the majority of the Hoops supporters appear to have concluded that the 23-year-old simply is not good enough for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Christie has been a stalwart of the Dons side since returning to the club for a second loan spell in the summer. And it appeared that he had impressed Rodgers with his spell at Pittodrie, with the Daily Express reporting in March that he is not only in Celtic’s plans for next season, but that the Bhoys want to agree a new contract with the midfielder.

However, after watching his display against the Gers, it appears that a large section of Celtic fans will not be particularly pleased if he ends up being handed fresh terms at Parkhead.
Aberdeen missed their chance to take one giant step towards securing second spot in the Scottish Premiership, while also ending Rangers’ hopes of finishing as Celtic’s nearest challengers as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw that leaves the battle for second wide open.

Unsurprisingly given how far clear they are in the table, most of the Celtic supporters were less concerned about the result and more bothered about Christie’s showing in the game.
Many felt that he was anonymous in the contest, and are quite certain that he will have to step up dramatically if he hopes to force his way into Rodgers’ plans. Unfortunately, quite a few are not particularly sure that he will be able to step up upon his return to his parent club.
Here is what the Celtic fans made of Christie’s display…
