‘Agent’ Pedro Caixinha has been sacked by Rangers – to the disappointment of Celtic fans everywhere.

There is one group of fans in Glasgow shedding a tear at the news that Pedro Caixinha has been sacked after seven months at Ibrox. And they are not wearing Rangers blue.
The Portuguese was supposed to close the cavernous gap that had developed between Rangers and Celtic since the former’s demotion to the fourth tier in 2012. With Brendan Rodgers’ side eight points clear of their Old Firm rivals already in 2017/18, however, it’s fair to say Caixinha has failed and failed badly.
Though the beleaguered boss will certainly be remembered fondly by those in green and white – if not for providing Celtic supporters with almost constant ammunition.

It didn’t help Caixinha’s cause that, as soon as he was appointed to replace Mark Warburton in March, a video emerged of the tactician urging his Celtic ‘brothers’ to keep pushing on for the title during his spell in charge of affiliate club Santos Laguna, per the Daily Record.
And that’s without mentioning the fact that Caixinha lost all three of his Old Firm derbies with an aggregate score of 9-1.
In the end, this walking, talking soundbite of a manager made a rod for his own back, falling out with key players and failing to produce anything resembling an improvement in performances.

In the words of Celtic supporters; ‘Agent Pedro, your mission is complete.’
