Patrick Roberts attended the Scottish Cup final as Celtic lifted their ninth domestic trophy in three years.

A number of Celtic fans have expressed their excitement at the possibility of the Hoops re-signing Patrick Roberts this summer after the winger was pictured watching Neil Lennon’s men win the Scottish Cup final at the weekend.
Roberts is certainly one of the players that the Parkhead faithful would love to see return to the club in the future after his fantastic loan spell, in which he scored 18 goals in 79 games in all competitions.
There was plenty of disappointment when he joined Girona on loan last summer. But recent reports have hinted that the door may be open to another spell at Celtic in the future.
The Sun suggests that Manchester City could let him leave permanently this summer with only one year left on his contract. The report notes that Celtic are one of the sides interested in the £4 million-rated winger, as is former boss Brendan Rodgers.

It remains to be seen what happens to Roberts in the coming months. But he has certainly increased the appetite for a Celtic return further after taking a photo with a Hoops supporter at Hampden Park ahead of the club’s Scottish Cup final win against Hearts at the weekend.
And in response, several Celtic fans have insisted that the club need to do everything they can to make sure that Roberts does come back this summer and hoped that his attendance may be a positive sign in their reported pursuit.
