Celtic fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Manchester City-owned winger Patrick Roberts’s recent comments about his future.

During a Q&A session with Laurie Ross insurance, as subsequently reported and transcribed by The Daily Record, Roberts suggested that he would love to stay at Celtic beyond the summer of 2018.

The 21-year-old winger joined the Glasgow giants on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club City in the summer of 2017.

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Roberts’s comments about his future.

Roberts has struggled with injuries this season and has not been in the kind for form he was during the 2016-17 season, but he remains an important player in Brendan Rodgers’s team.

The winger is a hugely talented player, and given that he would struggle to break into the City first team next season, perhaps another loan spell at Celtic Park would not be a bad idea.
