The Celtic star has seemingly made himself available to Cameroon for an international career.
Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham has reportedly made a ‘huge decision’ in electing to represent Cameroon at international level.
Ntcham has been capped for France Under-21s and was born in Longjumeau, a suburb of Paris.
But according to The Daily Record, the Celtic star, a £4.5 million signing in the summer of 2017 [BBC Sport], has done a u-turn on his international preference and has made himself available for the African giants.
The report adds that Ntcham – whose parents are of Cameroonian descent – has been placed on standby for Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cape Verde and Rwanda.

Is it a good decision? Time will tell, but it’s extremely likely that he’ll play a lot more regularly for Cameroon than he would for France at senior level.
That’s because the reigning world champions have an abundance of brilliant midfielders, such as Paul Pogba and Tanguy Ndombele, and Ntcham’s chances of playing ahead of either of them on a regular basis seems quite slim.
On his day, the Celtic star is one hell of a player, but the likes of Pogba and Ndombele are a level above.
