Olivier Ntcham struggled for Celtic on Saturday against Kilmarnock.

Few would argue that Olivier Ntcham hasn’t been arguably Celtic’s best player in recent weeks.
The French midfielder has received rave reviews for his performances as of late, but Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Kilmarnock was a backwards step.

The Celtic midfielder saw plenty of the ball but never really asserted himself in an attacking sense, which has not been the Ntcham that the Hoops fans have praised since the turn of the year.
There were plenty of other culprits for Celtic’s shock defeat at Killie, but fans of the Parkhead club have acknowledged that the former Manchester City ace – a £4.5 million summer signing – didn’t do enough.

Consistency is what has really held Ntcham back in his first season in Scotland.
He has had brilliant spells in the past but failed to kick on from them, and Celtic fans will be hoping that the defeat at Kilmarnock isn’t a symptom of the same decline that Ntcham has suffered with before this season.
The 21-year-old is obviously a big talent and there’s plenty of class there, but Brendan Rodgers’s task is to get the best out of him every single week.
A cycle of three great performances and one bad one isn’t good enough at Celtic.
