Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of West Bromwich Albion-owned striker Oliver Burke against Aberdeen.

Burke joined Celtic on loan from West Brom in the Championship in the January transfer window when Brendan Rodgers – now at Premier League club Leicester City – for until the end of the season.

Rodgers deployed the 21-year-old winger as a striker, and the former Nottingham Forest youngster did play well in that role.

New Celtic manager Neil Lennon, appointed in the role until the end of the season following the departure of Rodgers to Leicester, decried to play Burke in the striker’s role against Aberdeen at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

The Scotland international started the match and played for 78 minutes, as it ended in a goalless draw.

The result means that the Hoops are now at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, eight points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Celtic fans were not impressed with the performance of Burke as a striker against Aberdeen, as the comments on Twitter below show.
