Celtic narrowly defeated a resilient Ross County side this weekend.

Celtic overcame Ross County on Saturday courtesy of a second-half strike from Leigh Griffiths, but the Scotland international was not the player Bhoys fans were talking about after the full-time whistle.
That man was Nir Bitton; a makeshift centre-back who is starting to look at home at the back, despite previously making his name as a midfielder.

The Israel international has played regularly at the back for Celtic this season, in part due to injuries and squad rotation, and against Ross he put in the kind of shift that suggested he is ready to stake a claim to make the position his own.
Bitton has now featured 166 times for Celtic, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists in the process. However he now looks set for a prolonged run at the back, giving Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers another option in his impressive assembled squad.

Next up for Celtic is a Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain and it will be interesting to see if Bitton is selected for that clash, where he would face some of the bets attacking talent in Europe.
