Celtic brought the Austrian defender on loan to Parkhead in the summer but he struggled for Neil Lennon and co last night.

A number of Celtic fans have been commenting on Twitter about their side’s latest victory but despite most of the players performing well, there was criticism for one player – Moritz Bauer.
The Hoops hosted St Mirren at Parkhead on Wednesday night and, following a goalless first half, managed to break down their opponents’ resistance through Mohamed Elyounoussi and James Forrest.
Bauer, who joined Celtic on loan from Stoke in the summer, has been utilised sparingly by Bhoys boss Neil Lennon and was handed his fourth Scottish Premiership start against the Buddies, but had a fairly lacklustre game and lost the ball far too often.
As a result, some Hoops faithful took to social media to comment on the Austria international’s display:
Elyounoussi’s opener came on 49 minutes when he tapped home a loose ball in the six-yard box, before Forrest – who has just secured a new contract at Celtic – cut inside from the right and finished with his left to give Lennon and co a healthy advantage they would not relinquish.
The Hoops are now one goal better off than their Glasgow rivals at the top of the table, while St Mirren – one of three sides on eight points – are bottom of the standings.
