Mikael Lustig played the full 90 minutes as Celtic could only draw with their Scottish Premiership rivals.

Celtic fans have been reacting on Twitter after watching Mikael Lustig’s performance during their goalless draw with Dundee, and it seems fair to say that the majority of the fans were not impressed by the Swede’s display.

It was an underwhelming night for the Hoops despite the fact that Brendan Rodgers’ men extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership by avoiding defeat against Neil McCann’s side.

They were unable to score at home for only the second time this year and the performance was disappointing considering that the Bhoys could quite easily secure a second consecutive domestic Treble this season.

Few of the players emerged from the game with any credit, but perhaps the player who received something like the most criticism was Lustig, whose form this season continues to be a concern.

The 31-year-old – who earns £24,000-a-week, according to the Daily Star – was previously a stalwart of the side but has looked well short of his best this term, and the fans have not been afraid to ask for the likes of Cristian Gamboa and Anthony Ralston – who now finds himself out on loan – to get a chance ahead of Lustig.

Several supporters slammed the fact that the right-back seemed incapable of playing a forward pass during the contest, with many feeling that he was playing by the rules of rugby and making sure that the ball went backwards.
