Marvin Compper was given a winner’s medal for Celtic today.

Parkhead played host today as Celtic fans finally spotted one player who they had heard so much about, but had never seen.
No, not Karamoko Dembele, the 16-year-old who enjoyed a brilliant debut in the 2-1 win over Hearts, but Marvin Compper.
The German defender joined Celtic 18 months ago but still hasn’t made his Scottish Premiership debut in what was the most bizarre signing of Brendan Rodgers’s tenure.
Nevertheless, the 33-year-old was still awarded a Premiership winner’s medal as Neil Lennon’s side lifted their eighth successive title after the game finished.
Compper was given ironic and yet jovial cheers from the Hoops faithful when he lifted the trophy – and he held on to it a bit longer than normal.
And Celtic fans are in stitches over the ‘brass neck’ displayed by Compper to carry the trophy around as if he played a huge part in winning it.
The former Leipzig centre-back, who has one cap for Germany remarkably, made just the one senior appearance for the Bhoys – in a Scottish Cup win over Morton in March of 2018.
Compper is contracted to the Scottish club until 2020.
