Marvin Compper is struggling for playing time at Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at the moment.

Marvin Compper of Leipzig looks on during the UEFA Champions League group G soccer match between RB Leipzig and Besiktas at the Leipzig Arena in Leipzig, Germany on December 06, 2017.

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Marvin Compper’s comments about his future.

Compper recently said, as quoted in The Daily Record, that he is looking to leave Celtic in the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old German central defender the Hoops from RB Leipzig in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1 million.

Fitness issues and lack of playing time have restricted the former Fiorentina central defender to just one appearance in all competitions for Celtic, as stated on the club’s official website.

Celtic are doing well without Compper, who was nowhere near the first team in the opening weeks of the season when the Glasgow giants were struggling defensibly.

The Bhoys are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and are also going strong in the Europa League this season.

Manager Brendan Rodgers clearly does not think that the defender is good enough to play for the Hoops, and Celtic fans on Twitter are not bothered about the 33-year-old potentially leaving in the January transfer window.
