Adding one more striker would be ideal, and the Daily Record claim that Celtic are in the race for Lyle Taylor.
It’s stated that Celtic have made contact to try and sign Taylor, but so have Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Taylor is a free agent having chosen to leave Charlton Athletic this summer, and he is a man in demand off the back of his record with the Addicks.
The 30-year-old has hit 36 goals and 14 assists in 67 games for Charlton, and offers a target man figure with real mobility too.
Celtic fans don’t seem too impressed though, asking about season ticket refunds if they sign Taylor on a free transfer.
Some believe that he just isn’t good enough for Celtic, and not the right character having refused to play for Charlton recently.
