Could Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers work his magic on Adnan Januzaj? There’s only one way for the Manchester United outcast to find out.

If Brendan Rodgers is aiming to convince a big name player that Celtic is the ideal destination to kick-start a stuttering career, all he has to do is introduce them to Scott Sinclair.

The career of the one-time Manchester City winger appeared to be heading down the gutter at relegated Aston Villa before The Hoops rescued him last summer. Twelve months on and the player that stormed the Championship under Rodgers at Swansea has been reborn.

Sinclair helped Celtic win the domestic treble for the first time since 2001 last season, netting a career-best tally of 25 goals along the way.

If this is not enough to convince Adnan Januzaj to at least consider a move to Glasgow this summer, surely nothing will. Like Sinclair, the talented Belgian is crying out for a fresh start after a couple of ill-judged moves, notably disastrous loans at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland.

As such, ESPN reported that Manchester United could be willing to part company with the player they rated highly enough to bestow Ryan Giggs’ legendary number 11 shirt upon when he retired in 2014.

And the Press and Journal claims that Celtic will offer him the chance to escape from Old Trafford this summer. With United demanding between £8 and £12 million, Januzaj could become Celtic’s club record signing.

And it’s fair to say most supporters are excited at the prospect of a player with such dazzling potential getting his career back on track in green and white.
