A number of Celtic fans appear to be divided on what Lewis Morgan’s future should look like after the winger got just under half an hour to impress in the Hoops’ draw with Livingston on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have now gone to the summit of the Scottish Premiership after a goalless draw away at Livi. It was an underwhelming performance given the highs of midweek when the Bhoys beat RB Leipzig in the Europa League on a remarkable night at Parkhead.

Livingston defended superbly, and Celtic probably did not ask enough questions of their opponents. The display prompted Rodgers to bring Morgan on with just under half an hour remaining.

Unfortunately, Morgan could not make a major impression on the contest. The youngster has struggled for chances since joining the club and linking up with the squad in the summer – and that has left a number of fans feeling sympathetic towards the winger.

They believe that it is unfair to judge Morgan when he is still developing and not getting a lot of game-time at the moment. However, not everyone agrees.

Some believe that the 22-year-old is not going to improve sufficiently to make the grade at Parkhead in the future, and Rodgers would have been much better off leaving James Forrest on the pitch for the final 28 minutes.
