Celtic supporters on Twitter were in absolute hysterics after Kyle Lafferty compared Rangers winger Ryan Kent to Eden Hazard.
The Gers secured the signature of winger Kent on Monday, with Lafferty, who left the club in July, claiming that the former Liverpool player can be a ‘better player’ than Hazard, as quoted by The Daily Record.

Along with seeing the funny side, some Celtic supporters are also stunned by what Lafferty said, as they questioned why he isn’t playing or breaking through at Liverpool if he’s that good.
Following Celtic’s win at Ibrox on Sunday, the Gers went out and added Kent to their squad on a permanent basis, as he will now have to wait a few months for the next Old Firm showdown.
Steven Gerrard’s side will travel to Parkhead in December, where another defeat for the Gers will seriously dent their title chances, but a lot can still happen between now and then.

Nonetheless, during his time at Rangers last season, Kent scored six goals and supplied six assists in 23 Premiership matches [transfermarkt].
Whilst the 22-year-old has the potential to produce the goods for Rangers, it is seriously laughable that Lafferty, who played alongside Kent last season, compared him to a player that made a switch to Real Madrid in the summer.
Not only that, given the lack of depth at Liverpool, if Kent was anywhere near good enough then surely he would have been on the bench as an attacking option?
