Kristoffer Ajer had a stand-out game for Celtic this afternoon.

What a relief it was that Celtic kept hold of Kristoffer Ajer this summer.
Speculation had mounted that Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers wanted to bring his former centre-back to the King Power Stadium [The Mercury].
But the Premier League transfer window closed without the Foxes poaching the 21-year-old Celtic star.
Ajer was a colossus for the Hoops today as Neil Lennon’s side thumped Motherwell 5-2 at Fir Park.
Playing at right-back, the big Norwegian star opened the scoring for Celtic, cancelling out Motherwell’s opener on 14 minutes.
It was a stunning display and quite a few Bhoys fans believe that he is Scott Brown’s long-term successor as captain.
Going forward, Ajer showed a surprising level of fluidity, given his 6’5 frame, and in defence virtually nothing got past him all afternoon.
This is a special, special player and it would’ve been a travesty had Peter Lawwell sold him for £15 million. He may be worth far more in the near future.
