But the Bhoys were in good form last night, as they put themselves in a commanding position to qualify for the Europa League group stages.
And Celtic fans were very impressed by Ajer’s display in the contest.
Ajer has been forced to play at right-back for Celtic for much of the season so far, but he has still caught the eye.
The rangy defender is more comfortable in the heart of Celtic’s defence, but his technical skill means that he can play as a full-back.
Ajer looks likely to continue in Celtic’s starting line-up when they take on Hearts at the weekend, as he is making himself a vital player for Lennon’s men.
