Celtic midfielder earned praise for his showing in Scott Brown’s testimonial.

Celtic midfielder Kouassi Eboue made the most of a rare appearance yesterday in testimonial for teammate Scott Brown.
Kouassi was part of the Celtic side which took on a Republic of Ireland XI in a friendly match at Celtic Park.
The Ivory Coast ace signed for Celtic in January 2016 and is yet to establish himself in Brendan Rodgers’ preferred XI.

So far he has played just 17 competitive matches for Celtic, one for every month he has been at the club.
He is still only 20-years-old so it is too soon for Celtic to give up on him, and yesterday he showed glimpses of what he can do.
Kouassi helped create a goal for Leigh Griffiths, running past opponents and playing the striker in with a smart pass.

The game was played a more of a leisurely pace than a Scottish Premiership game, making it easier for Kouassi, but he still stood out as one of Celtic’s better players.
If little else it will boost his confidence heading into next season, and that alone could be a difference maker enabling him to hit the ground running in pre-season.
Here is a look at how Celtic fans reacted on Twitter to his performance…
