Celtic fans on Twitter are slating Jozo Simunovic for his latest performance.
Brendan Rodgers’s side went down 2-0 away to Hibernian this afternoon and Simunovic, like most Celtic players, didn’t cover himself in glory.
The Hoops boss paired him with Filip Benkovic in central defence due to the continued absence of Dedryck Boyata, but it did not look a fruitful defensive partnership.

Celtic need Boyata back as soon as possible, but how long will he be at Parkhead when he does regain full fitness?
The Belgian is out of contract next summer and it doesn’t take much to imagine that he could interest other teams in the January transfer window. Rodgers might have to sell next month or lose him for free in June.
It’s a horrible situation for the Parkhead side but one that is ultimately self inflicted. They should have taken the £9 million offer from Fulham for Boyata in the summer and avoided this imminent mess.
As for Simunovic, well his form has nosedived over the past 12 months, but he won’t be sold – especially not if Boyata goes. That would leave Rodgers with only Kristoffer Ajer, Jack Hendry and Marvin Compper as Celtic-owned options, which is as grim as it gets.
