Celtic lost the big Glasgow derby of the season as they were beaten 1-0 by Rangers away at Ibrox today – but Josip Juranovic showed promise.
The Bhoys have been showing promising signs under Ange Postecoglou, and were seeking a big win away at Rangers to really prove they mean business.
Unfortunately, Celtic weren’t able to take their chances, with Odsonne Edouard somehow firing wide from close range with the goal at his mercy.
Celtic were made to pay for that miss as Rangers only needed one goal to win it, with Filip Helander rising highest to score a fine header.
The Bhoys did create a great chance through Kyogo Furuhashi, but Robby McCrorie made a strong save to preserve Rangers’ lead.
There wasn’t much in the game, but Celtic came out on the losing side and Postecoglou must look to get back on track after the international break.
Postecoglou chose to throw new signing Josip Juranovic into the side, but rather than playing him in his natural of right back, the Australian chose a left back role for Juranovic.

Greg Taylor’s absence was a big reason for that, but Juranovic equipped himself very well for this first Old Firm game after signing from Legia Warsaw.
Celtic fans have been taking to Twitter to brand Juranovic ‘brilliant’ and ‘outstanding’, feeling he was the pick of the Celtic bunch.
Others feel he is already a ‘class signing’ and will prove to be ‘incredible’, especially when he actually plays at right back.
