According to The Record, Celtic winger Jonny Hayes won’t kick a ball again this season.
The 30-year-old was stretchered off in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Dundee following a challenge by Josh Meekings and The Record claim that he will miss six months with a fracutured tibia.
The Irish attacker was slowly but surely coming into a bit of form and had netted his first goal for the club in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Aberdeen.
If true, it’s a bitter blow for Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers who is already without Patrick Roberts until March.

On the plus side, the injuries to Hayes and Roberts will surely force Rodgers into the transfer market for another right-sided winger in January.
James Forrest is having a terrific season with Celtic, but he will need competition during the second half of the season as the Hoops challenge on three fronts.
Rodgers’s side, who have an 11-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership, have a huge Europa League tie with Zenit St Petersburg to look forward to and the Northern Irishman will need an alternative to Forrest if, god forbid, he should join his team-mates in the treatment room.
