Celtic fans react to Jonny Hayes display against Hearts

Jonny Hayes was in action for Neil Lennon’s Celtic against Heart of Midlothian.

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Jonny Hayes against Heart of Midlothian on Saturday afternoon.

Hayes featured for Celtic in the Scottish Cup final against Hearts at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

The 31-year-old is a winger by trade, but against Hearts on Saturday afternoon, the Republic of Ireland international was deployed at left-back.

The former Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Aberdeen man started the final and played for 89 minutes, as Neil Lennon’s side won 2-1.

The win against Hearts in the Scottish Cup final on Sunday means that Celtic have clinched the domestic treble for the third season in a row, and the Celtic Park faithful will hope that the Hoops

Hayes played well at left-back, defended well and also contributed in attack, and while he did not look like a second Kieran Tierney, the Republic of Ireland international winger did his job efficiently.

Celtic fans have given their take on the performance of Hayes on Twitter – they seem divided.
