Celtic fans were impressed as reported target John McGinn shone in the final international before the Scottish Premiership season resumes.

Celtic fans have been lauding John McGinn after the midfielder’s performance during Scotland’s win over Hungary on Tuesday, and a number of fans have urged Brendan Rodgers to do all he can to sign him this summer.
The Hoops seem to have been linked with the Hibernian midfielder for a while now, with the Daily Mail reporting at the start of the most recent January transfer window that he remained on Celtic’s radar.

McGinn has enjoyed an excellent season in the Scottish Premiership, and there seems to be a belief that he could become Scott Brown’s long-term successor at Parkhead. He may not be there yet, but he did take on his role for Scotland’s friendly with Hungary.
The 23-year-old – who was in the same startling lineup as four Bhoys players, including fellow midfielders Callum McGregor and Stuart Armstrong – performed well as Alex McLeish’s men bagged the first win of his second tenure with the national side.

And after the game, a number of Celtic supporters took to social media to praise McGinn’s battling display in the middle of the park which, for some, evoked some memories of Hoops skipper Brown.
After watching his performance, they have suggested that the champions should make a move to sign him at the end of the season as he clearly boasts a huge amount of potential.
Here is the best of the reaction to McGinn’s display…
