A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Jeremy Toljan’s display during the Hoops’ dramatic 1-0 win against Dundee which has seen the Hoops extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Neil Lennon’s men were relying on a goal from Odsonne Edouard in the 96th minute to see off their opponents at Dens Park, but it is a goal that has left them 10 points clear of Rangers heading into the Old Firm game following the international break.

The unconvincing performance against the Premiership strugglers will have left Lennon with plenty to ponder. And one of the concerns that he may well have involves Toljan’s form.

The January signing started at right-back, with Mikael Lustig getting a rare start at centre-back. Unfortunately, the Bhoys loanee could not make a positive impact on the game, and his crossing arguably did not ask enough questions of the opposition.

It has not been the easiest start to life at Parkhead. He seemed to be a brilliant addition after arriving from Borussia Dortmund, but he has struggled to impress, and Lustig seems to have seen an increase in popularity since the January window.

A number of supporters have suggested that they would like to see Toljan dropped from the side for the upcoming Old Firm game, and they are certainly not going to be in favour of the Bhoys pursuing a permanent deal for the defender at the end of his loan spell.
