Celtic comfortably overcame Aberdeen this weekend.

Celtic maintained their 100 per cent start to the new season with a 4-1 victory against Aberdeen on Saturday.

Goals from Leigh Griffiths, James Forrest, Scott Sinclair and Tom Rogic ensured Adam Rooney’s first-half strike proved to be nothing more than a consolation when the full-time whistle blew.

Forrest often divides opinion among the Celtic fans but this season he has started as he will mean to go on, scoring in each of his three league appearances to date.

It is quite a turnaround for the 25-year-old and it seems new Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers knows exactly how to get the best out of the winger.

Next up for Celtic is a huge match against Rangers – the first since Mark Warburton’s side earned promotion back to the top flight – and Rodgers will be hoping Forrest makes it four from four in that encounter.
