Jack Hendry isn’t getting an easy time from Celtic fans on Twitter.

Jack Hendry of Celtic heads at goal during the Scottish Premier League between Celtic and Kilmarnock at Celtic Park on May 9, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic might have gotten back to winning ways this afternoon, but the fans weren’t in forgiving mood.

The Hoops survived a bit of a scare to see off Partick Thistle 3-1 today, with two goals in the final 12 minutes from Moussa Dembele and Tom Rogic needed to see off the Firhill side.

Celtic centre-back Jack Hendry was partially culpable for the hosts’ equaliser on 73 minutes and some fans of the Parkhead club are absolutely slamming him on Twitter.

It hasn’t been a brilliant start to the new season for Hendry – a £1.2 million signing from Dundee in January [Sky Sports] – and his confidence has clearly taken a battering.

And if it hasn’t already, it definitely will if he reads what some Bhoys supporters have been tweeting about him recently.

With Dedryck Boyata trying to engineer a move away from Glasgow it seems, a solid defensive showing from Hendry and partner Kristoffer Ajer would have been just what the doctor ordered, but it’s a pity that it didn’t turn out that way.

That being said, Hendry, at 23, clearly has plenty to learn but it’s too early for Celtic fans to write him off.

He could get a lot better under manager Brendan Rodgers, as so many do, though it’s obvious that he is a work in process and time is very much needed.
