Celtic’s pre-season preparations got underway on Thursday evening as they drew 1-1 at Nice in France.

The Bhoys are gearing up for a huge season, as they are hoping to clinch a 10th league title in a row.

Neil Lennon hasn’t yet dipped into the transfer market this summer, but two of his January signings caught the eye yesterday.

Nice did take the lead through Kasper Dolberg, but Celtic bagged themselves a draw thanks to Patryk Klimala’s second half effort.

Klimala had struggled for playing time following a January move from Jagiellonia Bialystok, but showed he has something to offer with a goal last night.

Additionally, midfielder Ismaila Soro joined in January from Bnei Yehuda, and yesterday’s game was his first match in the Celtic first team.

The Ivorian was given half an hour to make an impact yesterday, and did enough to impress a number of Celtic fans on Twitter.

Some joked that N’Golo Kante clearly bases his game on Soro, or even that he could be better than Michael Essien.

Others were a little more sensible, believing that he looks to be a good player and could be ideal for tight games back in Scotland, with his cameo leaving Bhoys fans excited.
