Celtic fans react to Gamboa’s performance against Hamilton

Celtic and Hamilton went head-to-head this weekend and the Costa Rica player impressed.

Celtic continued their seemingly inevitable march to another Scottish Premiership title with a 2-0 victory against Hamilton Academical on Saturday courtesy of two goals from Moussa Dembele.

The French sensation took the plaudits yet again for the Bhoys but the performance of right-back Cristian Gamboa should not be understated, with the 27-year-old impressing on his return to the starting line-up.

Gamboa has been in and out of Celtic’s side this season, and after failing to play for a single minute in the Bhoys’ last three league games he was back from the start this time out.

With only 12 league games under his belt this season – and only 18 appearances in all competitions – the Costa Rica international will know he has work to do to convince Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers he should be playing more often. But this was the right way to go about it.
